BEAM offers a variety for courses, programs and resources:
Bridging (Academic) Course
A two year study program aimed at higher educational access and the opportunity to take the GED (General Educational Development) test and to apply for College and University admission. Beyond the focus on tests and College admission, students increase their knowledge, participation, social skills, communication skills and critical thinking.
Vocational Training (Three-month / Six-month courses)
IT Training – Basic computer skills, desktop publishing (DTP) and website design.
Tailoring and Craft Training – Dress design, pattern making, sewing, decorating and hand knitting.
Tailoring Business – For-Profit.
Informative and entertaining programs celebrating the cultural past and present of the Mekong region. Language courses promoting cultural understanding are available.
BEAM maintains a growing English and Burmese language library for the use of the students and the community.
Students online facilities for:
- course outlines
- submitting assignments
- reviewing class notes.
