What will your pathway to higher education be?

Believe it or not, but not everyone’s journey is quick. Some graduates from BEAM take another year before they get a scholarship.

This could be due to personal reasons, work commitments or students just being focused on getting that special scholarship that they have had their eye on.

Hnin Phyu Sin Mg Mg took some time researching before she struck gold with a scholarship to Walailak University in Thailand.

“After completing my GED, I searched for scholarship opportunities and became intrigued by Walailak University’s Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship,” she says.

သင့်ရဲ့ အဆင့်မြင့်ပညာရေး တက်ရောက်ဖို့လမ်းကဘယ်လိုရှိနေလဲ။

အမှန်ကတစ်ယောက်နဲ့တစ်ယောက် မတူကြပါဘူး။တစ်ချို့ကမြန်မြန်ဆန်ဆန်တက်ရောက်ရတာရှိသလို ဘိမ်းမ် ကျောင်းသားကျောင်းသူထဲကတစ်ချို့ဆိုရင်လည်း တစ်နှစ်လောက်ခြားပြီးမှ တက်ရောက်ရတာလည်း ရှိပါတယ်။

 အများကြီးအထောက်အကူဖြစ် စေခဲ့ပါတယ်။

သူမက “ကျောင်းကနေ ပို့လာတဲ့အီးမေးလ်ကိုတွေ့တဲ့အချိန်မှာ မယုံနိုင်လောက်အောင်ဖြစ်ခဲ့ရတယ်။ ကျွန်မအဲ့ဒီအချိန်တုန်းက ပျော်ခဲ့ရတဲ့ခံစားချက်ကိုအခုထိမမေ့သေးဘူး။ ပျော်လွန်းလို့ ခုန်ပေါက်ပြေးလွှားပြီးတော့ မိသားစု၀င်တွေကို သတင်းကောင်းပြန်ပြောပြခဲ့တာပါ”

သူမက တက္ကသိုလ် တက်ဖို့နည်းလမ်းရှာနေသူက ကြုံတွေ့ရတာတွေကိုဆွေးနွေးတဲ့အချိန်မှာကောင်း ကောင်းဖော်ပြပေးထားတယ်။

“ ကျွန်မဒီဆုကိုရဖို့ ကြားထဲမှာ အခက်အခဲတွေ ချီတုံချတုံဖြစ်ခဲ့တဲ့ အခိုက်အတန့်တွေအ များကြီးရှိခဲ့တယ်။ ဒါပေမယ့် ဖြစ်ချင်တဲ့ဆန္ဒကိုပဲ ရဲရဲဆုပ်ကိုင်ပြီးတော့ ရည်မှန်းချက်ပန်းတိုင် ရောက်မယ့်လမ်း ကိုတွေ့ခဲ့တာပါ”

“နောက်ံဆုံးမှာတော့ ကျွန်မကြိုးစားမှုရဲ့ ရလာဒ်ကို ခံစားရပါပြီ။ ဒီကနေရခဲ့တဲ့ သင်ခန်းစာ အတွေ့အကြုံတွေကိုလည်း နောက်ကြုံတွေ့ရမယ့်အရာတွေအတွက် မှတ်ထားပါမယ်။”

ဘိမ်းမ် မှာကကျောင်းသားတွေကို ရေရှည်မှာလုပ်ဆောင်မယ့်အရာတ္ပေကို သေချာစဉ်းစား ပုံဖော်တတ်အောင် ကူပေးတယ်၊ အဓိက ကတော့ ပညာသင်ဆု လျှောက်တဲ့အချိန်တွေမှာပေါ့။ အဲ့ဒီအထဲမှာ ကျွန်မလည်း အပါအ၀င်ပါပဲ။”

“ကျွန်မကျောင်းပြီးတဲ့အချိန်ကျရင်တော့ စီးပွားရေးပိုင်းမှာ၀င်ရောက်လေ့လာဖို့ သိသင့်သိထိုက်တဲ့ အခြေခံသဘောတရားတွေကို ကောင်းကောင်းပိုင်နိုင်နေပြီ လို့ယုံကြည်တယ်။  အလုပ်သင်လုပ်မယ့်အချိန်မှာလည်း ပို့ချမယ့်သင်တန်းတွေကနေ ကျွန်မရဲ့လုပ်နိုင်စွမ်းကို မြှင့်ပြီးတော့

ကျွမ်းကျင်ရာအပိုင်းဖြစ်တဲ့ အဖွဲံအစည်းလည်ပတ်ပုံ စိစစ်နိုင်စွမ်း ကို ပိုကောင်းစေမှာပါ။

“ရည်မှန်းချက်ကြီးတဲ့ လူငယ်တွေကို ကျွန်မပညာသင်စဉ် တွေ့ကြုံခဲ့ရတဲ့ အတွေ့အကြုံနဲ့ ယှဉ်ပြီးတော့ ပညာရေးပိုင်းနဲ့ပတ်သက်တာတွေကိုလမ်းညွှန်ပေးဖို့ နဲ့  ‌အသက်မွေး၀မ်းကြောင်းအလုပ်ရွေးတဲ့အချိန်

ဆွေးနွေးတိုင်ပင်ပေးတဲ့ကဏ္ဍကနေပါဖို့လည်းဆုံးဖြတ်ထားပါတယ်။

အခုဆို ပညာသင်ဆုကျေးဇူးနဲ့ ကျွန်မရဲ့ အနာဂါတ်ဟာတောက်ပနေပါပြီ။ ကျောင်းလခနဲ့ပတ်သက်တဲ့ငွေရေးကြေးရေးကိစ္စတွေ စိတ်ပူစရာမလိုတော့တာကိုသိတဲ့အတွက် ကျောင်းစာ နဲ့ တစ်ကိုယ်ရည်တိုးတက်မှု ဘက်ကိုပိုအားစိုက်နိုင်တယ်။

သူမအခုလိုမျိုး ကြိုးစားမှုရဲ့အောင်မြင်မှုအသီးအပွင့်ကိုခံစားရဖို့ ဘိမ်းမ် ကနေလေ့လာသင်ယူခဲ့ရတဲ့ အတွေ့အကြုံက အဓိက အချက်ဆိုတာအသေအချာပါပဲ။

“ကျွန်မရဲ့ ပညာရေးလမ်းကြောင်းက CYLD program မတက်ခင်အထိ ကြားထဲမှာ ကျောင်းထွက်ပြီး လမ်းပျောက်ခဲ့ရတာတွေရှိတယ်။ ဘိမ်းမ် ကတော့ ကျွန်မရဲ့ ပညာရေးလမ်းကြောင်းအတွက် မီးမောင်းထိုးပြခဲ့တာပါ။ အဲ့ဒီကျေးဇူးနဲ့ပဲ GED ကို ငွေ‌ကြေးအခက်အခဲမရှိဘဲ တက်ခဲ့ရတာပါ။ အဲ့ဒါအပြင် ဆရာ ဆရာမ တွေဆီကနေရခဲ့တဲ့ အကူအညီနဲ့ အကြံဉာဏ် တွေကလည်းတစ်ကယ်ကို အဖိုးတန်လှပြီးတော့ တက်လမ်းမှာကြုံရတဲ့ အလှည့်အပြောင်းတွေကို မီးမောင်းထိုးပြထားတာပါ။

“အခုစာကို ဖတ်နေတဲ့သူလည်း ဘိမ်းမ် ရဲ့ GED program ကိုလျှောက်ကြည့်ဖို့စဉ်းစားနေတယ် ဆိုရင် စောင့်မနေဘဲ အခွင့်အရေးကို အမိအရဆုပ်ကိုင်ပြီး ရဲရဲကြီးသာလျှောက်လိုက်ပါ လို့ပြောချင်ပါတယ်။”

“တက်ရောက်နေစဉ်ကာလမှာတော့ အတွေ့အကြုံထူးအသစ်တွေနဲ့ ပညာရေးအတွက်တင်မဟုတ်ဘဲ အပြုံးပန်းလည်းဆင်နေရမှာပါ။ အချိန်ကုန်ရကျိူးနပ်စေမယ် လို့လည်းယုံကြည်ပါတယ်။”
