“It was incredible the day I learned I got the scholarship…. I couldn’t contain my joy—I hugged my mom and immediately called my sister to share the amazing news. It turned out to be one of the happiest days of my life,” says Arriet. “I can’t express enough gratitude to BEAM EDUCATION for making this happen.”

When Aye Nyein San’s (Arriet, 20) future was a little unknown until she successfully completed her GED through BEAM and was awarded a scholarship from the University of Western Sydney.

“One day, Teacher Brittany shared a video on Facebook talking about IIE and their scholarships, and I got curious,” Arriet says.

“So, the day after my social studies class, where we were learning about economics and business, I was all fired up. I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” I asked Teacher Brittany for the zoom meeting link for the scholarship seminar, and Teacher Rachel told us what we needed to prepare. It was like destiny.”

“After completing my undergraduate studies in Finance at Western Sydney University, my plan is to pursue a master’s degree …. This advanced education will not only enhance my understanding of finance but also open doors to more opportunities and leadership roles within the industry.”

Simultaneously, I intend to secure a decent job in a reputable financial institution, applying the skills and knowledge gained during my academic journey. This practical experience will not only contribute to my professional growth but also provide a solid foundation for my future endeavors,” she says.

Arriet still sets her sights on giving back to her community after her education.

“In addition to my career goals, I am passionate about giving back to the community. As part of my long-term plan, I aim to engage in initiatives that contribute positively to society. This could involve participating in mentoring aspiring students or supporting community development projects. By combining my educational and professional experiences with a commitment to community service, I hope to make a meaningful impact and contribute to the betterment of society.”

If you are wondering about what it is like to be in the CYLD program, Arriet has plenty of positive things to share.

“They played a super important role in getting me to where I am now. Their help with my financial barriers made a huge difference – it took away the stress of paying for school and all the exam fees, so I could focus on my studies,” she says.

“The things I learned from BEAM weren’t just for school; they gave me skills and knowledge that help me in everyday life too. Their support has been really important for my personal and academic growth. In simple words, BEAM did a lot for me. They made a big impact on my education and brought me to where I am today. Their commitment to helping people through education changed my life a lot.”

ပညာသင်ဆုရတယ်လို့သိလိုက်ရတဲ့နေ့ဟာ မယုံနိုင်စရာဖြစ်ခဲ့တယ်။ ပျော်ရွှင်မှုကိုမထိန်းနိုင်စွာပဲ အမေ့ကိုပွေ့ဖက်ပြီး အံဩစရာသတင်းကောင်း မျှ‌ဝေဖို့အတွက် ညီမဖြစ်သူကိုချက်ချင်းခေါ်ခဲ့တယ်။ “ထိုနေ့ဟာ ကျွန်မဘဝရဲ့အပျော်ရွှင်ဆုံးနေ့တွေထဲက တနေ့ဖြစ်လာခဲ့တယ်”လို့ Arriet ကဆိုပါတယ်။ “ယခုလိုဖြစ်မြောက်အောင်လုပ်ပေးခဲ့တဲ့ BEAM EDUCATION FOUNDATION ကို ကျေးဇူးတင်ကြောင်းကို စကားလုံးနဲ့ ဖော်ပြဖို့တောင်မလုံလောက်ပါဘူး”.

အေးငြိမ်းစံ (အသက် ၂၀ နှစ်) BEAM  မှတဆင့် GED အောင်မြင်ပြီး University of Western Sydney မှ ပညာသင်ဆုချီးမြှင့်ခံရခြင်းမတိုင်ခင်ထိ သူမရဲ့ အနာဂတ်ဟာမသေချာခဲ့ဘူး။

“တစ်နေ့မှာတော့ BEAM ရဲ့GED ဆရာမဖြစ်သူ ဆရာမ Brittany က IIE နဲ့ပညာသင်ဆုအကြောင်း ဆွေးနွေးနေတဲ့ဗီဒီယိုတခုကို Facebook Group မှာ မျှဝေပေးလိုက်တဲ့အခါမှာ ကျွန်မသိချင်စိတ် ပြင်းပြလာခဲ့တယ်” “လို့ Arriet ကဆိုပါတယ်။

ဒါကြောင့် စီးပွါး‌ရေးဘာသာရပ်အကြောင်းသင်ကြားနေသည့် လူမှုရေးသိပ္ပံအတန်းပြီးတနေ့မှာ- ကျွန်မစိတ်အားထက်သန်မှုပြင်းပြလာခဲ့တယ်။   “ကျွန်မ ဘာလို့မကြိုးစားကြည့်ရမှာလဲ?” လို့တွေးမိခဲ့ပြီး ဆရာမBrittany ကို ပညာသင်ဆုဆွေးနွေးပွဲအတွက် Zoom Meeting လင်ခ့် ကိုတောင်းဆိုခဲ့ပြီး ဆရာမ Rachel က ကျွန်ပ်တို့အား ပြင်ဆင်ရန်လိုအပ်သည့်အချက်အလက်များကို    ပြောပြခဲ့သည်။ “ဒါတွေဟာကံတရားလိုပါပဲ”

ကျွန်မရဲ့ ရည်မှန်းချက် အစီအစဉ်က “Western Sydney University မှာ Finance ဘာသာရပ်နဲ့ ဘွဲ့ကြိုပညာ သင်ကြားပြီးလျှင် ဘွဲ့လွန်ဖြစ်သည့် မဟာဘွဲ့ဆက်တက်ဖို့ပါ။ ဤအဆင့်မြင့်ပညာရေးသည် ကျွန်ုပ်၏ဘဏ္ဍာရေးဆိုင်ရာ နားလည်မှုကို မြှင့်တင်ပေးရုံသာမက လုပ်ငန်းနယ်ပယ်အတွင်း အခွင့်အလမ်းများနှင့် ခေါင်းဆောင် မှုအခန်းကဏ္ဍများအတွက် တံခါးဖွင့်ပေးပါသည်။”

တစ်ချိန်တည်းမှာပင်၊ ကျွန်ုပ်သည် ဂုဏ်သိက္ခာရှိသော ဘဏ္ဍာရေးအဖွဲ့အစည်းတစ်ခုတွင် သင့်တင့်လျောက်ပတ်သော အလုပ်အကိုင်တစ်ခုရရှိရန် ရည်ရွယ်ထားပြီး ကျွန်ုပ်၏ပညာရေးခရီးတွင် ရရှိသော ကျွမ်းကျင်မှုနှင့် အသိပညာများကို အသုံးချပါမည်။ ဒီလက်တွေ့ အတွေ့အကြုံက ကျွန်မရဲ့ ပရော်ဖက်ရှင်နယ် တိုးတက်မှုကို အထောက်အကူပြုရုံသာမက ကျွန်မရဲ့ အနာဂတ် ကြိုးပမ်းမှုတွေအတွက် ခိုင်မာတဲ့ အခြေခံအုတ်မြစ်ကို ပေးစွမ်းမှာပါ” လို့ သူမက ဆိုပါတယ်။

Arriet သည် သူမ၏ပညာရေးပြီးသည့်နောက်တွင် သူမ၏အသိုင်းအဝိုင်းအား ပြန်လည်ပေးအပ်ရန် လည်းစိတ်ကူးထားဆဲဖြစ်သည်။

“ကျွန်မရဲ့ အသက်မွေးဝမ်းကြောင်း ရည်မှန်းချက်တွေအပြင် လူမှုအသိုင်းအဝိုင်းကို ပြန်လည်ပေးဆပ်ဖို့ စိတ်အားထက်သန်ပါတယ်။ ကျွန်ုပ်၏ရေရှည်အစီအစဥ်၏ တစ်စိတ်တစ်ပိုင်းအနေဖြင့်၊ ကျွန်ုပ်သည် လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်းအတွက် အပြုသဘောဆောင်သော အကျိုးပြုလုပ်ဆောင်မှုများတွင် ပါဝင်ဆောင်ရွက်ရန် ရည်ရွယ်ထားပါသည်။ ၎င်းတွင် ရည်မှန်းချက်ရှိသော ကျောင်းသားများကို လမ်းညွှန်ပေးခြင်း သို့မဟုတ် ရပ်ရွာဖွံ့ဖြိုးရေးပရောဂျက်များကို ပံ့ပိုးပေးခြင်းတွင် ပါဝင်နိုင်သည်။ ကျွန်မရဲ့ ပညာရေးနဲ့ ပရော်ဖက်ရှင်နယ် အတွေ့အကြုံတွေကို ရပ်ရွာဝန်ဆောင်မှုပေးဖို့ ကတိကဝတ်တွေနဲ့ ပေါင်းစပ်ခြင်း အားဖြင့်၊ အဓိပ္ပာယ်ပြည့်ဝတဲ့ အကျိုးသက်ရောက်မှုတွေနဲ့ လူ့အဖွဲ့အစည်း ပိုမိုကောင်းမွန် လာစေဖို့ အထောက်အကူဖြစ်စေမယ်လို့ မျှော်လင့်ပါတယ်။”

CYLD ပရိုဂရမ်မှာ ဘယ်လိုဖြစ်မလဲဆိုတာကို သင်သိချင်နေတယ်ဆိုရင် Arriet မှာ မျှဝေဖို့ အပြုသဘောဆောင်တဲ့အရာတွေ အများကြီးရှိပါသေးတယ်။

“ကျွန်မကို အခုရောက်နေတဲ့နေရာကို ခေါ်ဆောင်ရာမှာ  CYLD program ကအလွန်အရေးကြီးတဲ့ အခန်းကဏ္ဍကနေ ပါဝင်ခဲ့ပါတယ်။ ကျွန်မရဲ့ဘဏ္ဍာရေးအတားအဆီးတွေကြောင့် သူတို့ရဲ့အကူအညီဟာ ကြီးမားတဲ့ခြားနားချက်တစ်ခုကို ဖြစ်စေခဲ့တယ် – ကျောင်းစရိတ်နဲ့ စာမေးပွဲကြေးအားလုံးကို ပေးဆောင်ရတဲ့ ဖိအားတွေကို ဖယ်ရှားပေးတဲ့အတွက် ကျွန်မရဲ့လေ့လာမှုကို အာရုံစိုက်နိုင်ခဲ့တယ်” ဟုသူမကဆိုသည်။

“BEAM ဆီက သင်ယူခဲ့ရတဲ့ အရာတွေက ကျောင်းအတွက်တင်မက ကျွန်မရဲ့ နေ့စဉ်ဘ၀တွင် အထောက်အကူဖြစ်စေသော အရည်အချင်းများနှင့် အသိပညာများကိုပါ သင်ပေးခဲ့တယ်။ သူတို့၏ ပံ့ပိုးကူညီမှုသည် ကျွန်မ၏ ပုဂ္ဂိုလ်ရေးနှင့် ပညာရေး တိုးတက်မှုအတွက် အမှန်တကယ် အရေးကြီးပါသည်။ ရိုးရိုးရှင်းရှင်းပြောရရင် BEAM က ကျွန်မအတွက် အများကြီးလုပ်ပေးခဲ့တယ်။ သူတို့သည် ကျွန်မ၏ပညာရေးကို ကြီးမားစွာ အကျိုးသက်ရောက်စေပြီး ယနေ့ ကျွန်မရှိရာသို့ ပို့ဆောင်ပေးခဲ့သည်။ ပညာရေးကနေတဆင့် လူတွေကို ကူညီပေးဖို့ သူတို့ရဲ့ ကတိကဝတ်တွေက ကျွန်မဘဝကို အများကြီး ပြောင်းလဲစေခဲ့တယ်”

“နောက်ဆုံးအနေနဲ့ကတော့ ဒီလိုကောင်းမွန်တဲ့ ပညာရေးအတွက် အခြေခံအုတ်မြစ်ကို ပံ့ပိုးပေးခဲ့တဲ့ IIE (Institute of International Education) ကို ကျေးဇူးတင်ပါတယ်။”
