Hsaiwonleng Loongjing (Chen)
Chiang Mai Rajabhat University
Intern at: Shan Youth Power (SYP)
Presently, I am attending a Bachelor of Arts Program, 1st year in English for International Communication, at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
At the same time, I am joining the Community Service Internship Program (CSIP) which is provided by BEAM Education Foundation to help my community.
I will be interning at Shan Youth Power (SYP) organization as a volunteer teacher for Basic English and Shan language.
Teaching English and Shan can promote education for migrant people, especially children, in construction camps around Chiang Mai, Thailand. Thank you to BEAM and all sponsors for your support.
Myo Saw (Peter)

Intern at: BEAM Education Foundation
For the CSIP program, I chose to complete my internship service at BEAM Education Foundation. BEAM gives and guides students for higher education and vocational training among migrant workers. Because of their support, I graduated from the GED program in 2017. Therefore, I would like to help and give back to the organization that aided me.
Currently, they need people to help in translating and digitizing the GED curriculum, as well as preparing for the online base exam. During my internship, I am determined to not only work but also learn and gain new experiences from BEAM.
Furthermore, I will cooperate to work with different members in many activities. During and after my internship service, I truly hope that I will have new experiences and gain knowledge to benefit my future and my studies.

Intern at: MAP Foundation
For my community service internship, I plan to work as a volunteer at Map Foundationand Thai Freedom House. At Map Foundation, I am excited to try a different type of job that I have never worked before.
I hope to gain new knowledge and skills through my experience. I also want to learn about Map Foundation, especially how they help women and children in Burma and migrantsin Thailand. At Thai Freedom House, I will continue to teach basic Burmese language to Shan adults. Most of them can speak Shan and Thai fluently, but they cannot read and speak Burmese.
After working the entire day, they give up their time to come and study at Thai Freedom House. They are very energetic to speak Burmese and try their best. Therefore, I want to share the knowledge I know by volunteering. I will teach Burmese 2 hours a week every Friday.
