Elderly Health Care Course Completion
On 9th September 2017, BEAM members participated in the event Certificate Awarding for Elderly Health Care Course. This event, organized by the Thai Non-formal and Informal Education Department, was held at Chiang Mai Orchid Hotel.
One of BEAM’s NFE Student, Sang Juen, was awarded the certificate during the event after he completed the Elderly Health Care Training. Sang Juen shares his experience about being trained on how to take care of elder people, understanding ageing and common chronic diseases, improving personal hygiene, and giving day-to-day care. He adds “I feel glad because I gained more knowledge about elderly care. When I was a child, my parents took care of me. When my parents get old, I should take care of them. What I have learned from the training is how to prepare food for elderly people and I also understand the reason why my parents usually warn me about things. Moreover, I learned to understand the feelings of elderly people. This activity is continually open for anyone who wants to improve their skills in elderly care. I want to encourage more people to participate in the next training”. Congratulations Sang Juen for achieving the certificate for this course.
