The ICT Workshop has now been conducted together three times in collaboration with MEII network communities. The first of the workshops took place from 30-31 August, 2018 at BMTA office in Mae Sot. Then again on 11 and 14 September 2018 at Wattana Learning Center and Victoria Learning Center respectively. The most recent workshop took place 15 – 16 September 2018 at Unified Learning Center in Khaolak. The workshops and trainings were implemented as part of ICT4A Training project.

The ICT Workshop focused on basic information and communication skills. This included how to make an installation application properly in a computer system, and also basic Windows necessities such as internet browsing and word processing. The workshop also covered internet computer security skills specifically on browser and network security. 17 participants from Mae Sot, 13 from Ranong and 20 from Khaolak and Phuket joined the ICT workshop and each workshop took 2 intensive days.

During ICT workshop in Mae Sot and Ranong, we also conducted the Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation Workshop for MEII & EQAB members from MEII network communities and partner organizations. We also visited our partners Save the Children International and Marist Asia Foundation in Ranong to exchange experiences focused on Non-Formal Education and Out of School Children and Youth.

Thank you to Partners Asia for supporting MEII migrant education activities across Thailand. BEAM Education Foundation and Partners Asia collaborated in administration and project implementation. Partners Asia supports community initiatives to improve the lives of Myanmar’s most vulnerable. Partners Asia builds relationships with innovative organizers in these communities and with international donors to help bridge the gap between local leaders and global resources.
