The BEAM Education Foundation launched its very first mobile tailoring short course training from 4th to 6th of March at Pardan Village, Chiang Dao, and Chiang Mai with 5 trainees. They are ethnic hill-tribes (including Kachin, Lahu, Lisu) and training conducts during their break time from cultivation works.
The BEAM Education Foundation launched its very first mobile tailoring short course training from 4th to 6th of March at Pardan Village, Chiang Dao, and Chiang Mai with 5 trainees. They are ethnic hill-tribes (including Kachin, Lahu, Lisu) and training conducts during their break time from cultivation works. The training aim is to gain other skills and to make income-generation. The training took 27 hours intensively and included skills such as setting up sewing machines, drawing patterns, and sewing 4 kinds of bags. In 2014, BEAM plans to provide basic computer, tailoring and knitting mobile trainings in the Chiang Mai area and in Thai-Myanmar border towns.
