On 28th October 2015, BEAM Education attended Payap University’s seminar entitled “Opportunities After Graduation” and had the opportunity to attend a campus tour. Topics of the seminar were: “Higher Education,” “Working in Organizations,” and “Entrepreneurship.” All together, 50 BEAM students attended from the first year NFE Pilot Program and Second Year GED Program, accompanied by 3 teachers.
After the seminar, Melissa Stroud, Head of International Campus Life of Payap International College, gave a short presentation about Payap University’s history, current programs, and requirements for the entrance and student exchange programs.
After that, BEAM students and teachers visited Payap’s Library and multimedia rooms, and learned how to find books and how to understand the borrowing system and the Library’s rules and regulations. As the tour continued into International Housing,BEAM students had the chance to visit the different undergraduate programs that matched their specific areas of interest (English Communication, International Business Management, Information Technology and Hospitality Industry Management).
The campus tour ended at 2:30 in the afternoon. Not only were students provided a great opportunity to learn about university’s programs, regulations, and organization; students also were able to receive exposure to university life and the encouragement to continue with their educational goals to attend international level university.
