Nang Lin Kham, originally from Shan State, Myanmar, is a graduate of the Faculty of Social Science at Chiang Mai University. Immediately after her graduation, she began to work at BEAM as an assistant Legal Assistance Program Officer. She expresses her passion for working with BEAM: “BEAM has given me a lot of chances; I want to hand those chances to the other young people. The other reason is that I personally belief in the power of education in human development, which is the start of other types of development. And BEAM is working to develop the capacity of humans, which will lead to the development of the society as a whole.”
Lin Kham’s expectation of working with BEAM is to be part of a team that promotes education rights for all and turns those rights into practice so that a greater number of children will have access to quality education.
She adds: “By working at BEAM, I believe that the most effective revenge is to improve myself. I would rather prove it by action, not just through words. Don’t allow the discrimination to weaken you, but keep on improving yourself to be stronger than those discriminating actions and words. BEAM is providing the space for you to improve yourself. Since BEAM is able to help me achieve my goals, BEAM can also help you achieve your goals. Since then, I have learned that BEAM never stops improving; the numbers of BEAM students in university and BEAM alumni working in the community prove that BEAM has grown so fast. Also BEAM adapts with the needs of the society, able to accept new methods and change for long term solution to problems.”
ဘီမ္းေက်ာင္းသူ/ေက်ာင္းသားေဟာင္းမ်ား၏ လက္ရွိလုပ္ေဆာင္ခ်က္မ်ား – နန္းလင္ခမ္း
နန္းလင္ခမ္းသည္ ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံအေရွ႕ပိုင္း၊ ရွမ္းျပည္နယ္မွ ေ႐ႊ႕ေျပာင္းလာသူတစ္ဦးျဖစ္ၿပီး ဘီမ္းပညာေရးေဖာင္ေဒးရွင္း၏ ဂ်ီအီးဒီပ႐ိုဂရမ္တြင္ တက္ေရာက္ခဲ့ၿပီးေနာက္ ယခုအခါ ခ်င္းမိုင္တကၠသိုလ္၊ လူမႈေရးသိပၸံဌာနမွ ဘြဲ႔ရရွိခဲ့ၿပီျဖစ္သည္။ ဘြဲ႔ရၿပီးသည္ႏွင့္တၿပိဳက္နက္ ဘီမ္းပညာေရးေဖာင္ေဒးရွင္း၌ Legal Assistance ပ႐ိုဂရမ္လက္ေထာက္အျဖစ္ စတင္လုပ္ကိုင္လ်က္ရွိသည္။ ဘီမ္း၌အလုပ္လုပ္ကိုင္ရျခင္းႏွင့္ ပတ္သက္ၿပီး နန္းလင္ခမ္းမွ ယခုလိုေျပာၾကားပါသည္: “ဘီမ္းမွာ က်မအတြက္ အခြင့္အလမ္းေတြအမ်ားႀကီးရတဲ့အျပင္ အျခားလူငယ္ေတြအတြက္ က်မ ထိုအခြင့္အလမ္းေတြကို ဆုပ္ကိုင္ထားခ်င္ပါတယ္။ အျခားရည္႐ြယ္ခ်က္တစ္ခုကေတာ့ အလံုးစံုဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးေရးအတြက္ ပထမဆံုးဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးေရးလုပ္ဖို႔လိုတဲ့ ပညာေရးဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးမႈရဲ႕ အေရးႀကီးမႈဟာ လူသားဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးမႈအတြက္ အဓိကက်တယ္လို႔ က်မအေနနဲ႔ ပုဂၢဳိလ္ေရးအရ ယံုၾကည္ခ်က္ရွိလို႔ ဘီမ္းနဲ႔ လက္တြဲခဲ့တာျဖစ္တယ္။ ဘီမ္းပညာေရးေဖာင္ေဒးရွင္းကလည္း လူမႈအသိုင္းအဝန္းတစ္ခုလံုးဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးေရးကိုဦးတည္တဲ့ လူသားဖံြ႔ၿဖိဳးေရးလုပ္ငန္းေတြကို ေဆာင္႐ြက္ေနတဲ့ အဖြဲ႔အစည္းတစ္ခုျဖစ္တဲ့အတြက္ က်မဘြဲ႔ရၿပီးရင္ ဘီမ္းမွာအလုပ္လုပ္ဖို႔ ဆံုးျဖတ္ခဲ့တာျဖစ္ပါတယ္”
ဆက္လက္ၿပီး ဘီမ္း၏ပ႐ိုဂရမ္မ်ားႏွင့္ လက္ရွိတက္ေရာက္လ်က္ရွိေသာ ေက်ာင္းသားလူငယ္မ်ားႏွင့္ပတ္သက္၍ ယခုလိုထပ္ေလာင္းေျပာဆိုခဲ့ပါသည္: “ဘီမ္းမွာ လက္ရွိအလုပ္လုပ္ေနတဲ့အေတြ႔အႀကံဳအရ မိမိကိုယ္ကို အေကာင္းဆံုးတိုးတက္ေအာင္ လုပ္ေဆာင္ျခင္းက အေကာင္းဆံုးတုန္႔ျပန္အက်ဳိးျပဳမႈတစ္ခုျဖစ္တယ္လို႔ က်မယံုၾကည္ပါတယ္။ ဒါက က်မ အေျပာနဲ႔မဟုတ္ဘဲ အလုပ္နဲ႔ သက္ေသျပလိုပါတယ္။ က်မကိုယ္က်မ တိုးတက္ေအာင္လုပ္ေဆာင္တဲ့အခါမွာ က်မကို အားေလ်ာ့သြားေစမယ့္ အေၾကာင္းအရာမွန္သမွ်ကို လစ္လ်ဴ႐ႈၿပီး အဲ့ဒီလို အားေလ်ာ့သြားေစမယ့္အရာေတြထက္ ပိုမိုႀကံ့ခိုင္အားေကာင္းလာေအာင္ က်မကိုယ္က်မ တည္ေဆာက္ျပဳျပင္သြားမွာ ျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ဘီမ္းပညာေရးေဖာင္ေဒးရွင္းကလည္း သင့္ကိုယ္သင္ တိုးတက္ေအာင္လုပ္ဖို႔ အခြင့္အလမ္းေတြေပးလ်က္ရွိပါတယ္။ ဘီမ္းက က်မရဲ႕ စိတ္ကူးအိပ္မက္ ရည္မွန္းခ်က္ေတြကို ေအာင္ျမင္ေအာင္ ကူညီေပးႏိုင္သလိုပဲ သင့္အတြက္လည္းပဲ ကူညီေပးလ်က္ရွိပါတယ္။ အဲ့ဒီကတည္းက ဘီမ္းက ေက်ာင္းသူ/ေက်ာင္းသား မ်ားစြာကို အဆင့္ျမင့္ပညာေရး၊ အသက္ေမြးဝမ္းေၾကာင္းပညာေရးတို႔ကို ပံ့ပိုးျဖည့္ဆည္းေပးျခင္းျဖင့္ ႏိုင္ငံတကာ တကၠသိုလ္မ်ား၊ ဘီမ္းေက်ာင္းသူ/ေက်ာင္းသားေဟာင္းမ်ားက မိမိတို႔၏ ရပ္႐ြာဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးတိုးတက္မႈစီမံကိန္းမ်ားကို လက္ေတြ႔အေကာင္အထည္ေဖာ္ေဆာင္ေနတာကို ၾကည့္ျခင္းအားျဖင့္ ဘီမ္းရဲ႕ ေအာင္ျမင္ႀကီးထြားမႈကို သက္ေသျပေနပါတယ္။ ဘီမ္းအေနျဖင့္ လူမႈအဖြဲ႔အစည္းမ်ားရဲ႕ လိုအပ္ခ်က္မ်ားကို အစဥ္အၿမဲ ေစာင့္ၾကည့္ခ်ိတ္ဆက္ ပံ့ပိုးေပးၿပီး လိုအပ္ခ်က္မ်ားအတြက္ ေရရွည္ေျဖရွင္းႏိုင္မႈနည္းလမ္းအသစ္မ်ားကို လက္ခံကာ အေကာင္းဆံုးတုန္႔ျပန္ ေဆာင္႐ြက္ေနတဲ့ေနရာတစ္ခုပါပဲ။”
