YCEP at BEAM hosts an annual youth conference which brings participants from Thailand and Myanmar together for a 3-day 2-night series of workshops with evolving themes. This year’s aim was to provide youth with increased social and professional network while also delivering content on design thinking and problem solving to develop their capacity and skills for future community impact work. Along with networking and developing project-planning and problem solving skills, participants were able to form groups and develop their own community-oriented projects to propose on the 3rd day. Four projects were selected to received grants and are currently in the process of implementation.
BEEs’ Club is the core of YCEP and the physical representation of our ecosystem that we have created. The club is an online and in-person platform that represents our entire youth network of those interested in joining our programs and accessing our resources. It is a club run by youth for youth and we simply give them a space to join together, create, and host activities for mutual empowerment and benefit. Our definition of youth is broad as well with no age cut off and may include anyone interested and comfortable in participating.
In 2023 we collaborated with Skillseed Singapore and Singapore Management University for several weeks of youth-centered workshops. Check out the video:
