What are the BEAM alumni doing? Nang Lin Kham

Nang Lin Kham, originally from Shan State, Myanmar, is a graduate of the Faculty of Social Science at Chiang Mai University. Immediately after her graduation, she began to work at BEAM as an assistant Legal Assistance Program Officer. She expresses her passion for working with BEAM: “BEAM has given me a lot of chances; I want to hand those chances to the other young people. The other reason is that I personally belief in the power of education in human development, which is the start of other types of development. And BEAM is working to develop the capacity of humans, which will lead to the development of the society as a whole.”

Consultation Training for Legal Employment in Thailand

On 20th July, 2017, BEAM Education Foundation, in collaboration with MAP Foundation, conducted a workshop on Consultation Training for Legal Employment in Thailand. During the first part of the training, BEAM’s Foundation Director Mr. Kyaw Kyaw Min Htut explained and reviewed migration in Thailand in detail. Following his speech, Lawyer Chang, from MAP Foundation, shared “Understanding the new Royal Decree” and recent laws issued for migrant labor from Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar.

Meeting with ONIE on education equivalency and accreditation system

On 22nd June 2017, BEAM Education Foundation discussed with the representatives from Office of Non-formal and Informal Education (ONIE, Chiang Mai) at Chiang Mai Provincial Public Library, NFE ASEAN Center.
