A veteran of Burmese dramatic arts, Daw Khin Khin Aye, joined us on Saturday, July 28 to discuss Burmese Traditional Dramatic Arts and Dance. She highlighted the importance of preserving Burmese Dramatic Art and Dance in order to educate younger generations about the value and origins of their own culture. The artist explained about different types of Burmese traditional dance, dramatic arts, and their cultural origins. Participants enjoyed her demonstration and presentation on basic traditional dancing techniques, which stimulated the sense of value and dignity of their own cultural arts. The artist also highlighted the importance of preserving ethnic dances and their cultural origins, emphasizing the value of cultural diversity. At the end of her lecture, she pointed out the responsibility of the Ministry of Culture in terms of preserving and regenerating the Burmese traditional dramatic arts and dance while ensuring the cultural standards as its origins.
