REMEMBER, the first Saturday of each month is “Cleaning Day at BEAM”. We invite all students, teachers and volunteers to participate in keeping the school neat and tidy. This is a fun way to build friendships, motivate each other, and remind ourselves that we are all responsible for the environment. We hope to see you all for our next Cleaning Day on December 1st at 9 a.m.

Also, now that we have installed more air-conditioners at BEAM, we need to make sure that we use them wisely and that we conserve energy whenever possible. Don’t use the air-conditioners more than necessary. Make sure the windows are closed if the air-conditioners are on, and turn off air-conditioners, lights and computers whenever they are not in use.

Another important issue is trash management. To minimize the amount of trash we create, please use BOTH sides of paper whenever possible and look for other ways to make sure we are fully utilizing our supplies. Please dispose of all items responsibly. Recycle plastic, paper and glass. Please clean up after yourself. Do not leave your dishes and cups for someone else to clean, and dispose of food waste in a way that will not attract insects.
