Samuel, originally from Myanmar, is one of BEAM’s GED graduates. He successfully passed the GED exam in 2013 and thenwent onto earn a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science at Chiang Mai University in 2018. Shortly after graduation, Samuel started working as a Community Facilitator at Sustainable Coastal Fisheries which is a project between Denmark and Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, and Irrigation. His main responsibilities include leading community facilitation training, supporting livelihoods activities, and assisting in the development of community fisheries co-management. This role suits Samuel well as approximately 10,000 people including women and children in 11 villages in Thanintharyee division and Rakhine state benefit each year from his training and activities.

Samuelexplains why he loves what he does:

“Our environment and resources need to be consumed in a sustained way so that vulnerable people can improve their livelihoods. I want to promote and be a part of this effortusing what I have learned from BEAM and university.”

Samuel on his most recent success:

“After six months of working at Sustainable Coastal Fisheries, I have been promoted toProject Assistant. Now, I get to work directly under theInternational Technical Advisor, which opens up so many more opportunities for me to learn, help, and improve.”

Samuel and his message to BEAM:

“Thanks to BEAM, I discovered that life is always about learning and sharing. ဆင္ျမဴရယ္သည္ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံမွ ထိုင္းႏိုင္ငံသို႔ ေ႐ႊ႕ေျပာင္းေရာက္ရွိလာတဲ့ဘီးမ္ရဲ႕ဂ်ီအီးဒီေက်ာင္းသားေဟာင္းတစ္ဦးျဖစ္ပါသည္။၂၀၁၃ခုႏွစ္တြင္ဂ်ီအီးဒီ စာေမးပြဲကိုေျဖဆိုေအာင္ျမင္ခဲ့ၿပီး ခ်င္းမိုင္တကၠသိုလ္မွလူမႈသိပၸံဘာသာရပ္ျဖင့္၂၀၁၈ခုႏွစ္တြင္ဘြဲ႔ရရိွခဲ့ပါသည္။ဘြဲ႔ရၿပီးသည္ႏွင့္ တၿပိဳင္နက္ ဆင္ျမဴရယ္သည္ဒိန္းမတ္ႏိုင္ငံႏွင့္စိုက္ပ်ိဳးေမြးျမဴေရး ႏွင့္ဆည္ေျမာင္းဝန္ႀကီးဌာနတို႔ပူူးေပါင္းေဆာင္ရြက္သည့္စိီမံကိန္းတစ္ခုတြင္ကမ္း႐ိုးတန္းငါးဖမ္းယူမႈ ထိန္းခ်ဳပ္ေရး ဆိုင္ရာ လူမႈတာဝန္ခံအျဖစ္တာဝန္ယူေဆာင္ရြက္လ်က္ရွိသည္။လူမႈဝန္းက်င္ပံ့ပိုးေရး သင္တန္းမ်ားကို ဦးေဆာင္ျခင္း၊ေမြးျမဴေရးကိစၥရပ္မ်ားကို အေထာက္အပံ့ေပးျခင္းႏွင့္ငါးဖမ္းယူသည့္ အသိုင္းအဝိုင္းၾကား ပူးတြဲစီမံ ေဆာင္ရြက္မႈဖြံ႔ၿဖိဳးေရးအတြက္ကူညီေထာက္ပံျခင္းမ်ားက ၎ရဲ႕အဓိကတာဝန္ယူေနရသည့္တာဝန္မ်ားျဖစ္ပါ သည္။တနသၤာရီတိုင္းႏွင့္ရခိုင္ျပည္နယ္တြင္းရိွရြာ၁၁ရြာမွအမ်ိဳးသမီးႏွင့္ ကေလးအပါအဝင္လူေပါင္း၁၀,၀၀၀ေက်ာ္ကို အက်ိဳးျဖစ္ထြန္းေစသည့္၎ရဲ႕သင္တန္းပို႔ခ်မႈမ်ားႏွင့္လုပ္ေဆာင္မႈမ်ားက ဆင္ျမဴရယ္ကို သူ႔တာဝန္ႏွင့္ကိုက္ညီေၾကာင္းသိသာေစပါသည္။

ဆင္ျမဴရယ္မွ၎၏ လုပ္ငန္းအေတြ႔အႀကံဳကို ယခုလိုမွ်ေဝသည္-

“က်ေတာ္တို႔ရဲ႕ပတ္ဝန္းက်င္နဲ႔သယံဇာတေတြကိုေရရည္တည္တံ့မယ့္နည္းလမ္းကို အသံုးျပဳမယ္ဆိုရင္နိမ့္ပါးသည့္ သူမ်ားအတြက္လူမႈဘဝျမွင့္တင္ႏိုင္မွာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ဘီးမ္နဲ႔တကၠသို္လ္ကေန သင္ယူခဲ့သည့္အရာမ်ားျဖင့္တစ္စိတ္တစ္ေဒသအားျဖည့္ျမွင့္တင္ေဆာင္ရြက္လိုပါတယ္။”

ဆင္ျမဴရယ္၏လက္တေလာေအာင္ျမင္မႈမ်ား-

“ကမ္း႐ိုးတန္းငါးဖမ္းယူမႈေရရွည္တည္တံ့ခိုင္းၿမဲေရးမွာ ေျခာက္လၾကာလုပ္ကိုင္ၿပီးတဲ့ေနာက္စီမံကိန္းဆိုင္ရာ တြဲဖက္တာဝန္ခံအျဖစ္ရာထူးတိုးျမွင့္ခံခဲ့ရတယ္။ႏိုင္ငံတကာမွနည္းပညာဆိုင္ရာ အႀကံေပးပုဂၢိဳလ္မ်ားႏွင့္ တြဲဖက္ လုပ္ေဆာင္ရသည့္အတြက္ သင္ယူဖို႔အခြင့္အေရးမ်ားရရိွၿပီး ပိုမိုထိေရာက္စြာ ကူညီေဆာင္ရြက္ ျမွင့္တင္ႏိုင္ပါတယ္။”

ဆင္ျမဴရယ္မွ လက္ရွိ ဘီမ္းေက်ာင္းသူ/ေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားကို ယခုလို အားေပးစကားေျပာၾကားခဲ့ပါတယ္-

“သင္ယူေလ့လာျခင္းႏွင့္ေဝမွ်တတ္တဲ့ဘဝကိုရွာေဖြေတြ႔ရိွေစခဲ့တဲ့ဘီးမ္ကိုေက်းဇူတင္ရိွပါတယ္။ဘီးမ္ရဲ႕ အစိတ္အပိုင္းတစ္ခုအျဖစ္ရိွေနတဲ့အတြက္ဂုဏ္ယူမိပါတယ္။လက္ရိွဘီးမ္ေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားကိုလည္း ဆုမြန္ေကာင္း ေတာင္းေပးပါတယ္။ လက္ရိွေက်ာင္းသားမ်ားကိုေႏြးေထြးစြာေျပာၾကားလိုတာကေတာ့ကံေကာင္းလို႔ အခြင့္ေရးရတာ မဟုတ္ပါဘူး။မိမိကိုယ္ကိုယံုၾကည္မႈႏွင့္မဆုတ္မနစ္ႀကိဳးစားျခင္းဖို႔ပဲျဖစ္ပါတယ္။လိုအပ္မႈရိွေနတဲ့လူ႔ပတ္ဝန္းက်င္ႏွင့္လူသားမ်ားကိုကူညီတက္ရန္သင္ၾကားေပးခဲ့ေသာဘီးမ္မိသားစုဝင္မ်ားကိုေက်းဇူးတင္ရွိေၾကာင္းေဖာ္ျပအပ္ပါတယ္။”
