On 8th April 2018, BEAM Education Foundation was invited to participate in the Songkran New Year water festival event held by the Office of Non-formal and Informal Education (ONIE). On 8th March 2018, BEAM students, teachers, and staff participated in the International Women’s Day event at ThaPae Gate, Chiang Mai. MAP Foundation organized theWomen’s Day March, where more than 150 people gathered to walk the perimeter of Chiang Mai’s Old City in a demonstration for women’s rights. It was a powerful sight. From April 24-27, BEAM employees from the Chiang Mai and Yangon offices met for the first ever BEAM Organizational Development Training & StaffRetreat. Our staff, like so many development officers around the world, often work overtime to provide access to education, legal advice, and support for our students.
