From 1st to 3rdApril, 2015, BEAM participated in the “Lanna Education and Cultural Awareness Day.” Collaborating with the Thai Non-Formal Education Department and private schools, Thai Educational and Cultural Organization held the event at the Chiang Mai Religion Practice Center. Cultural centers, educational institutions, language schools, international schools, and international NGOs in Chiang Mai participated together. BEAM sold different tailoring and crochets products, as well as Myanmar national costumes, for fundraising purpose. At the event, different traditional and cultural performances were presented by the organizations. By participating in the event, BEAM had the opportunityto represent and exchange Myanmar culture and learned about other organizations that contribute mutual friendship and peace among the ASEAN countries.
