On 4th June, 2017, BEAM Students and Teachers participated in the Teacher Appreciation Day event at Pan Suan Kaew Hotel organized by Thai Non-Formal and Informal Education Department, Chiang Mai. Thailand has been celebrating this day in honor of educators. It’s a day to remember their importance in the lives of children and teachers are seen to have a position of high honor.

On 4th February 2017, BEAM students including alumni attended a seminar at Payap University and attended a campus tour. Mr. Rachan Maneekarn, National General Secretary of Thai Alliance of the YMCA organization and General Secretary of Chiang Mai YMCA spoke on the Topic: “Doing Business in Thailand : Spirit, Mind and Body- The Lenses of YMCA”. Questions and Discussions followed after the presentation. In total there were 23 BEAM GED program students who attended this presentation.

Bashu Ivy International High School Students from Chongqing Province, China visited BEAM Education Foundation today, 23 January 2016. The students are currently studying at that school in Grade-10 and their excursion program focuses on immigrants, education, anthropology and Design Thinking.

On 9th November 2016, a 5-week Soft Skills Development workshop was successfully completed at BEAM in collaboration with the Branch Foundation. Adam Lawrence instructed the Soft Skills course for BEAM students and provided students with the skills to create a personal statement, cover letter and CV. With the goal of better preparing BEAM students for their careers and further education journeys, the 5-week workshop focused on improving the BEAM student’s, “soft” or “essential” skills.
